Integuide AI News (news.integuide.com) is run by Integuide in Sydney, Australia. This page explains what personal information the site, the daily email and our AI-assistant integrations collect, why, who else handles it, how long we keep it, and what you can do about it. Questions or requests: admin@integuide.com.
The short version
- If you subscribe, we keep your email address so we can send you the digest. We never sell it or share it with anyone except the service that delivers our email.
- The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts.
- Reading the site, the archive, the RSS feed or using our ChatGPT plugin or Claude connector doesn't require an account, and we don't build a profile of you.
What we collect and why
Subscribing
When you subscribe to the daily digest or the raw feed we store your email
address, which list you joined, whether your subscription is active, and the
dates you subscribed, confirmed or unsubscribed. If you arrived through a
link carrying campaign tags (for example utm_source) or a
referring page, we record that tag so we know which channels bring readers.
We use this only to send you the email you asked for, to honour
unsubscribes, and to count how the list grows and shrinks.
Messages you send us
If you use the contact form or reply to an email, we receive what you write and the address you send it from, and use it to read and answer you.
Server logs
Like most websites, our web server logs each request: the IP address, the page or API address requested (which includes any archive search terms), the time, the referring page and the browser's user-agent string. We use these logs to keep the service running and secure, to stop abuse, and to produce aggregate traffic counts. They are deleted automatically after 14 days.
Spam and abuse protection
To stop automated sign-ups and form spam, the site briefly checks the network address a request comes from (for example, against public lists of anonymising relays and against recent spam from the same network). These checks run in memory and are not written to our database.
The ChatGPT plugin and Claude connector
Our AI-assistant integration (an MCP server at
news.integuide.com/mcp) lets ChatGPT, Claude and similar
assistants search and read the public archive. It needs no account and never
asks for personal information. When the assistant calls it, we receive only
what that request needs, such as a search phrase or a date, and use it to
answer; we don't store those requests beyond the server logs described
above. We don't receive your conversation, your name or your account
details.
If you ask ChatGPT to tell you when a new edition is published, ChatGPT registers a notification with us. We store the web address ChatGPT asks us to notify, the signing key it provides, any topic you chose, and when the subscription expires. It contains nothing that identifies you, and it is deleted when it expires, when ChatGPT cancels it, or when it stops working. Your use of ChatGPT or Claude is covered by OpenAI's or Anthropic's own privacy policies.
Who else handles your information
- Mailgun delivers our email, so it processes subscriber addresses and the emails we send.
- DigitalOcean hosts our servers and database.
We don't sell personal information or share it with advertisers. We would disclose it only if the law required us to.
How long we keep it
- Subscriber records: while you're subscribed. After you unsubscribe we keep the address marked as unsubscribed, so we never email you again by mistake. Ask us and we'll delete it entirely.
- Messages: as long as needed to deal with them.
- Server logs: 14 days.
- Edition notifications: until they expire (at most 30 days unless renewed) or are cancelled.
Your choices and rights
Every email has an unsubscribe link that works in one step. You can also ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we hold about you by emailing admin@integuide.com. We'll respond within 30 days. If you're unhappy with our answer you can complain to your local data-protection regulator (in Australia, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner).
Children
The service is for a general audience and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update this page and its date. Significant changes will be announced in the digest.
